Tasked with building relationships with our existing customers, our Customer Development team are proactive in recognising the needs of our clients, generating new revenue for our business by upselling our products and services and nurturing customer relationships. Utilising effective communication skills, our Customer Development team use their initiative to establish the needs of the customer and ensure these are met through post-installation calls, calls regarding stopped orders and calls in regards to expanding their refreshment solution with new machines or products.
The post-installation calls carried out by our Customer Development team are essential, as they provide a way for customers to communicate any issues or requirements as soon as their machine has been installed, helping them to feel seen and cared for by our business. Calls made to clients who have stopped ordering from us help us to understand what we can do to retain these customers, helping us to improve as a business overall.
Working within Customer Development requires excellent telephone communication skills coupled with a confident knowledge of sales. Our CD team must understand the way in which businesses operate and the challenges within them in order to offer the correct solutions to a customer’s problem.
Julia Curtis
Julia joined Liquidline at the beginning of 2023 to head up the new Customer Development team, which was created to enhance our customer WOW.
Julia started her career in the British Army at the age of 17. Attracted by the sport and fitness aspects of the role, she was able to travel the world and continue her passions of playing hockey and horse riding. During her time in the Army, Julia was responsible for encrypting and decrypting messages at Whitehall through the Thatcher era, where she was party to lots of juicy inside secrets. Don’t pry too much though, as if she tells you, she’ll have to kill you!
Since leaving the Army, Julia has worked mostly in sales and business development in the corporate travel industry.
Attracted to her current role by the exponential growth of the company, and our passion for providing WOW to our customers and colleagues, Julia’s favourite thing about working at Liquidline is the family feel of the business. She’s been blown away by our willingness to help and support each other, the respect we all have for one another, and the culture of open dialogue.
